Job Description

Gpac has surfaced an agricultural company that is in need of a Building Maintenance Technician.

Scope: This position will provide maintenance and repair needs to Potato Warehouses and other Agricultural Buildings. 

 

Summary of Duties:

 Plan, direct, or coordinate operations and functionalities of facilities and

buildings. May include surrounding grounds or multiple facilities of an

organization's campus.

 strong knowledge in HVAC, electrical and carpentry work

 Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well maintained.

 Oversee or perform minor construction and renovation projects to improve

efficiency and to ensure that facilities meet environmental, health, and

security standards and comply with government regulations.

 Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.

 Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes

 Ability to install, service, or replace building's electrical systems

 construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures made of wood and

comparable materials

 performs skilled finish and basic carpentry work for building fixtures and

wooden frameworks for structures.

 perform carpentry duties necessary to construct and maintain structural

woodwork and equipment by using standard carpenter tools and power

driven woodworking machinery

 Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.

 Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning systems,

refrigeration and heating.

 Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems

and equipment.

 Electrical Repair Work

 Door, and Window Repair Work

 Lighting and fixture repair and service

 HVAC service and repair

 Parking lot maintenance

 Track all Material and Tool Expenses by using Paylocity

 Regularly inspect proper􀆟es for needed improvements

 Prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance

 Maintain a clean building appearance

 Utilize other outside contractors for larger jobs when needed

 Perform preventative maintenance

 Install and repair wiring

Work Experience Requirement:

Must have 2-3 years of previous Building Maintenance Experience in

the following areas.

 Electrical

 HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)

 Carpentry

This position will primarily report to the Warehouse Storage Manager,

and other Farm Managers as needed.

Qualifications:

 High School Diploma, and College Degree preferred

 At least 3+ years in a management role.

 Familiarity with tools of the trade

 Valid Driver’s License

 Ability to rank and prioritize multiple tasks at once

 Strong communication skills

 Ability to work well independently with little supervision

Physical Demands:

 Ability to regularly handle objects up to 50lbs

 Standing for long periods of time

 Exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals

 Engaging in physical activity such as but not limited to

twisting, reaching, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, and

making repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily

duties

 Working in the outdoor elements (possible extreme temps)

 

 

Job type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $23 to $26 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 + hours per week

Agriculture job exempt from OT

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed(on-call availability)

This candidate must be flexible, and realize there will be times that you

have to work later than expected to complete an assigned task
