Job Title: Design Engineer – Metal Building (P.E. or EIT)
Overview
We are seeking a Design Engineer with experience in the metal building/PEMB industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in design engineering for pre-engineered metal buildings and must be proficient with MBS (Metal Building Software). Candidates who hold an EIT certification and demonstrate the desire and ability to obtain their P.E. license will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural design and analysis of pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB).
Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Utilize MBS software for design and detailing of projects.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, detailers, and fabrication/erection teams to support project execution.
Provide engineering guidance and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, or EIT certification with intent/ability to achieve P.E.
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Design Engineer in the metal building/PEMB industry.
Proficiency in MBS (Metal Building Software) is required.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and practices related to metal buildings.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment
Preference for on-site work.
