Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review tax returns for automotive dealerships, including complex pass-through entities (partnerships, S-corporations)
  • Oversee client relationships and serve as trusted tax advisor on dealership tax planning and compliance matters
  • Conduct research on technical tax issues specific to automotive operations, inventory management, and dealership structures
  • Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance to develop and motivate the engagement team
  • Collaborate with other practice areas to deliver comprehensive client service across dealership operations
  • Represent the firm and build relationships through industry events and professional organizations

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license required (or J.D., LL.M., or Masters in Taxation)
  • Minimum 5 years public accounting tax experience required
  • Experience with automotive/dealership clients OR significant pass-through entity experience with willingness to learn the automotive industry
  • Strong understanding of partnership and S-corporation taxation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, engagement economics, and client relationships
  • Excellent technical tax skills, leadership abilities, and communication skills
  • Ability to develop business and foster long-term client relationships
