Job Description

My client is a boutique real estate firm seeking a junior to mid level Real Estate Attorney with experience in commercial real estate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases, with strong familiarity in LLC operating agreements, joint venture structuring, and documentation. Large law firm experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate commercial lease documents (agreements, renewals, subordination agreements, etc.)
  • Analyze complex legal and operational issues, and develop effective resolutions for tenant matters
  • Provide legal advice on property management, lease renewals, assignments, subleases, etc.
  • Organize real estate acquisitions and sales, manage closing checklists
  • Review title commitments, surveys, and zoning reports
  • Facilitate communications between transaction parties and counsel
  • Ensure adherence to transaction deadlines and document management

Qualifications:

  • Admitted to the Bar in NY or NJ and in good standing
  • 2-5+ years of real estate experience
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage workflow under deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Attention to detail and a collaborative team player
