Job Title: Project Manager – Underground Construction
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy civil construction projects with a focus on wet underground utilities including storm, water, sewer, tunneling, and related piping systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of project management experience in underground construction and a strong track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of underground utility projects from planning through closeout.
Oversee field operations, subcontractors, schedules, and budgets.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, owners, and field supervisors to resolve project challenges.
Prepare and review project documentation including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project partners.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience managing heavy civil projects involving wet utilities, tunneling, or underground piping systems.
Strong knowledge of underground construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency with project management and scheduling software.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
