Position Overview
A prominent plaintiff-focused law firm in Chicago is seeking experienced Personal Injury or Workers' Compensation Attorneys to join its litigation team. We are looking for professionals who are committed to advocating for injured clients with diligence, compassion, and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of personal injury or workers’ compensation cases from intake through settlement or trial.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare discovery.
- Represent clients in court, at depositions, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
- Maintain client relationships and keep clients informed on case progress.
- Collaborate with legal assistants and litigation teams to efficiently manage high caseloads.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing.
- Demonstrated litigation and negotiation experience in personal injury and/or workers’ compensation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
- Highly organized and able to manage a significant volume of active cases.
- Positive, collaborative attitude and respectful communication style.
- Strong motivation and commitment to client advocacy.
- Spanish fluency is a plus.
Additional:
- Absolutely must have:
- 3+ years of Workers Comp litigation experience.
- 3+ years of Personal Injury experience and willing to transition to the WC side.
- M – F schedule.
- 100% in office, no ability for remote or hybrid. Non option. Don’t ask.
