A precision manufacturer in the medical and aerospace space is seeking to join their engineering and production team. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong CAD/CAM skills who enjoys working directly with machining operations, problem-solving on the floor, and supporting advanced CNC manufacturing.
This position offers the best of both worlds — small-shop feel combined with the resources and stability of a larger company. You’ll be involved in programming, process improvement, and supporting operators on mill-turn and multi-axis machining projects.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and optimize CNC programs for Swiss, mill-turn, and 5-axis equipment
Use Mastercam, Esprit, or similar CAM tools for programming and simulation
Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to resolve production challenges
Design fixtures and tooling to support efficient setups and operations
Apply DFMA principles to improve manufacturability and reduce costs
Participate in process validation, continuous improvement, and troubleshooting efforts
Provide hands-on technical support on the shop floor
Contribute to new product introduction and scaling projects
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
3+ years of experience in applications, manufacturing, or process engineering
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Esprit, Siemens NX, etc.)
Hands-on CNC programming experience (mill-turn, 5-axis, or Swiss preferred)
Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and machining processes
