Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and complete repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Inspect and repair diesel engines, suspension systems, clutches, Allison transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulic systems, steering systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and air brake systems
- Perform assigned work duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Properly diagnose driver complaints and equipment issues
- Identify root causes of part and component failures
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment including tools and equipment
- Perform welding repairs as needed
- Maintain Minnesota Inspection Certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Must have tools necessary to perform job duties
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of diesel engine repair experience
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical knowledge or related experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have personal tools required to perform job duties
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a garage or workshop environment, with exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and various weather conditions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
