Director of Operations

Schedule: On site, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some evenings/weekends required)
Reports To: President

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee production, warehousing, logistics, maintenance, sanitation, and quality programs. This role ensures efficient operations while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance.

The Director will lead operational teams, partner with leadership, and drive continuous improvement to build a scalable, high-performing operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop operations leadership and staff to achieve KPIs
  • Oversee production, supply planning, warehousing, logistics, shipping, and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Manage budgets, processes, and operational performance
  • Identify and implement improvements in workflow, equipment, and systems
  • Maintain food safety and quality programs, including audit readiness
  • Resolve customer issues related to production and delivery
  • Recruit, train, and develop employees
  • Track and improve KPIs across production, inventory, and fulfillment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7–10+ years of operations leadership in production, warehousing, and logistics
  • Experience with inventory management and ERP systems
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
  • Conversational Spanish required

Preferred

  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
