A well-established mechanical contractor in the St. Louis market is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its preconstruction team. This role will focus on estimating complex mechanical scopes including HVAC, plumbing, and process piping across a variety of commercial and industrial projects.

• Lead and prepare estimates for mechanical construction projects up to approximately $20M
• Perform detailed takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive proposals
• Coordinate with purchasing, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing
• Evaluate project schedules, construction methods, and site conditions to ensure accurate pricing
• Prepare bid packages and proposals for submission to general contractors and owners
• Manage multiple estimates and bid timelines simultaneously
• Collaborate with project management and operations teams during preconstruction
• 10+ years of estimating experience within mechanical construction
• Strong background estimating HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems
• Experience working on projects such as laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, healthcare environments, breweries, and industrial projects
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and bid documents
• Strong understanding of mechanical construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Experience managing multiple bids and deadlines
• Proficiency with estimating and construction software such as Autobid / QuickPen, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office preferred
