Job Description

Well-known company is looking for a Finance Director/Controller to join the team. 

Here are the locations and a brief idea of what they are looking for –

Financial Director/Controller – Detroit, MI:

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
• Full ownership of overseeing order entry, customer billing, accounts receivable collections, vendor invoices, and accounts payable processing and payments
• Maintain all accounting records on the accrual basis of accounting, including reconciliation of Journal entries
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage daily cash flow
• Prepare and input weekly payroll (verification of hours, deductions, benefits, garnishments, etc.)
• Produce complete, accurate monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and supporting schedules) by the 10th of the following month
• Serve as primary contact and prepare all schedules for the annual financial statement audit with third-party CPA firm
• Handle sales & use tax filings and other regulatory reporting
• Reconcile credit cards, maintain fixed asset records, prepaid schedules, and accruals
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to ownership
