Construction Litigation Attorney

An established law firm is seeking a driven and experienced Construction Litigation Associate to join a growing team in Kansas City. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter to engage in complex litigation within a collaborative and collegial environment.

The Role

This position involves handling high-level legal matters, primarily focused on construction defense and diverse civil litigation cases. As an integral member of our litigation team, you will manage assignments with minimal supervision while benefiting from the resources and mentorship of a national platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging in complex litigation from inception through resolution.

  • Handling forward-facing client interactions.

  • Managing court appearances, depositions, and trial preparation.

  • Conducting in-depth legal research and drafting persuasive pleadings and motions.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or civil litigation.

  • Licensure: Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Kansas and Missouri.

  • Skills: Exceptional writing, communication, and persuasive speaking abilities.

  • Attributes: Strong academic background, proven research skills, and the ability to work independently.

  • Preferred: Prior trial experience is highly valued.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience).

  • Bonus: Eligibility for performance bonus.

  • Professional growth: Ability to grow with the firm and move into Partner level
