Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager (Sales-Focused) to help lead and grow an independent lumber and building supply operation. This role will focus on driving sales through strong industry relationships while also supporting overall business operations, team leadership, and strategic growth. The General Manager will work closely with ownership to maintain the company’s strong personal-touch service model while helping scale operations, improve processes, and support long-term growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales through strong industry relationships and customer engagement
• Work closely with ownership to support long-term business growth and stability
• Maintain the company’s strong personal-touch service model in a competitive market
• Help scale operations, improve processes, and support team development
• Play a key role in balancing sales growth with day-to-day operational leadership

Qualifications

• 7–15+ years of experience with background in windows, doors, roofing, siding, interior trim, or related building materials
• Ability to support business growth and team development
• Experience leading teams, managing operations, or running a department or location
• Understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and customer service in a building supply environment
• Ability to hire, train, and mentor employees
