Our regional CPA firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join their growing Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with their diverse client base, particularly in the non-profit sector, providing critical accounting support for a variety of clients.
Accountant Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable: Manage and process vendor invoices and payments
- Accounts Receivable: Oversee invoicing and collections, ensuring timely and accurate entries
- Bank & Credit Card Activity: Reconcile statements and track transactions for multiple accounts
- Payroll: Assist with processing payroll for clients in a timely and accurate manner
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion and reporting
- Client Interaction: Regular communication with clients to ensure accurate and efficient accounting processes
Accountant Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of accounting experience in a professional setting
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- Non-profit experience is preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
