Press Brake Operator (Heavy Plate)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator with experience in heavy plate fabrication to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Waukesha. This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of precision, strong blueprint interpretation, and expertise in advanced forming techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake equipment for heavy plate forming applications
• Perform bump forming to achieve complex radii and large-scale part configurations
• Interpret and work directly from blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Select proper tooling, dies, and machine settings based on material type and thickness
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet tight tolerances and quality standards
• Safely handle large materials using appropriate equipment (cranes, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment

Qualifications (Required)

• Proven experience operating a press brake in a heavy fabrication environment
• Strong, working knowledge of bump forming techniques
• Experience with heavy plate forming (not light gauge)
• Ability to confidently read and interpret blueprints
• Solid understanding of tooling selection, setups, and material behavior
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
