Job Title: Civil Litigation Defense Attorney 

Location: San Diego, CA

Practice Areas: Litigation, employment law, business transactions, professional liability, construction, and other complex areas of civil practice.

 

About the Opportunity:

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of civil litigation defense experience and the ability to manage cases independently. This role involves handling a variety of complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of defense litigation, from initial investigation and pleadings through discovery, motion practice, and resolution.

  • Conduct legal research, prepare motions, and draft discovery responses and reports.

  • Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations.

  • Collaborate with clients, experts, and internal team members to develop effective case strategies.

  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality, timely legal services.

Qualifications:

  • JD from ABA accredited law school

  • Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience.

  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.

  • Ability to handle a caseload independently while collaborating with a team.

  • Trial experience is a plus but not required.
