Position Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join tehir growing litigation team. This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic group of legal professionals in a supportive environment with flexible scheduling options. The role is open to hybrid candidates depending on availability and experience.
Responsibilities:
Represent insurance carriers, insureds, and self-insured clients in a variety of civil litigation matters
Handle cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
Provide strategic legal analysis and case evaluations
Communicate regularly with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel
Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing records
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice and in good standing in at least one Mid-Atlantic jurisdiction (e.g., PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, DC)
Minimum 10 years of experience in civil litigation or insurance defense
Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Trial experience is a plus, but not required
