Assistant Electrical Project Manager

GPAC is a national executive search firm specializing in recruitment for the electrical construction industry. We have been retained by a local electrical contractor to find an Assistant Electrical Project Manager to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support project management of commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects from start to finish

  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and forecasts

  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to support project success

  • Help review project drawings, specifications, and contracts for compliance

  • Monitor job progress and assist field personnel as needed

  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in electrical construction, preferably supporting project management

  • Exposure to commercial, industrial, or institutional electrical projects

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and project scheduling

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts

  • Experience assisting with budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Stable work history

  • Proficiency with project management software is a plus
