Job Description

A large and well-established construction company in Houston, Texas is seeking an experienced Electrical General Superintendent to join their growing electrical team. This leadership role is responsible for providing overall direction to field supervision and craft personnel while ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company quality, safety, and productivity standards.

This role is best suited for a seasoned electrical field leader with extensive experience managing multiple crews, mentoring superintendents and foremen, and supporting complex commercial or industrial electrical construction projects from planning through completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to superintendents, foremen, and craft personnel across multiple projects

• Coordinate field operations and manpower planning to support project schedules and fluctuating labor needs

• Serve as a senior technical resource to assist field teams with complex construction challenges and project start-up issues

• Ensure adherence to company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and quality standards across all job sites

• Participate in safety reviews, incident investigations, and implementation of safety programs

• Monitor project schedules, labor productivity, and cost tracking to maintain project performance

• Collaborate with project management and leadership teams on construction planning and project execution strategies

• Assist in the development, coaching, and training of field supervision and craft leadership teams

• Help resolve field challenges including work procedures, delays, or coordination issues across trades

• Ensure superintendents submit labor tracking, cost reporting, and project documentation as required

Qualifications for Electrical General Superintendent

• 15–20+ years of electrical construction experience

• Extensive experience managing field operations, multiple crews, and supervisory personnel

• Completion of electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent field experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction scheduling, and cost control

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

• Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and jobsite safety practices

• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• OSHA-30 certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire) 

Compensation & Benefits for Electrical General Superintendent

• Base salary: $110,000 – $150,000 depending on experience

• 3 weeks PTO
