About the Opportunity:
GPAC has partnered with a respected California-based law firm that is actively seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven litigator with experience in insurance defense and general liability to work on complex, high-stakes cases in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in a broad range of general liability matters, including personal injury, property damage, premises liability, and construction-related claims.
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Take and defend depositions, attend mediations, and handle court appearances.
Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, with support as needed.
Advise clients on risk management, liability exposure, and litigation strategy.
Collaborate closely with partners, senior attorneys, and legal staff.
Participate in settlement negotiations and trial preparation when applicable.
Stay informed on California legal developments, case law, and procedural changes.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the California State Bar.
Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability or insurance defense.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience conducting depositions and handling court appearances is highly preferred.
Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
