A respected law firm in Dallas, Texas is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to join its growing team. This opportunity offers a clear path to Senior Counsel or Non-Equity Partner for the right candidate. The position is fully on-site and ideal for attorneys who enjoy working closely with clients and developing long-term professional relationships.
The firm handles complex insurance coverage and defense matters and values attorneys who bring strong litigation skills, initiative, and a collaborative mindset. The role includes a 1,900 billable hour requirement and offers a competitive compensation structure with performance-based incentives. This position is on-site but has some flexibility for a hybrid schedule with senior level attorneys.
Handle insurance coverage and defense matters through various stages of litigation
Analyze policies and provide legal guidance on coverage issues
Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
Conduct depositions, discovery, and case strategy development
Communicate effectively with clients and build strong professional relationships
Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on case management
3+ years of civil litigation experience (general liability, insurance defense, or related defense litigation background)
Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar
Ability to work on-site five days per week in Dallas
Strong research, writing, and litigation skills
1,900 billable hours annually
