CNC Swiss Machinist
Citizen / Star / Tsugami Machines | Tight-Tolerance Precision Parts | Medical • Aerospace • Electronics
If you’re an experienced CNC Swiss machinist who enjoys precision work, complex setups, and machining extremely tight-tolerance components, this is an opportunity to join a high-precision manufacturer serving medical, aerospace, and advanced technology industries.
This is true Swiss machining: sliding headstock machines, micro tolerances, multi-axis programming, and parts that demand precision.
What You’ll Work On
• High-precision components for medical, aerospace, and high-tech applications
• CNC Swiss-style sliding headstock machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar)
• Multi-axis turning with live tooling
• Small, complex parts requiring extremely tight tolerances
• Materials including stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, brass, and specialty alloys
• Production environments where accuracy and process control matter
If you enjoy machining intricate parts where thousandths—and often tenths—matter, this environment will keep you engaged.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Full Swiss machine setups from print to first article
• Editing and optimizing programs at the machine (Fanuc-based Swiss controls common)
• Installing and dialing in guide bushings, collets, and precision tooling
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T
• Holding tight tolerances on small-diameter components
• Using micrometers, pin gauges, optical comparators, and other precision inspection tools
• Adjusting offsets, tool wear compensation, and cycle optimization
• Troubleshooting tooling, chip control, and surface finish issues
• Monitoring production runs and maintaining process stability
• Working closely with quality and engineering to meet exact specifications
This role requires machinists who think critically about process, tooling, and efficiency — not just operators pushing cycle start.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-style lathes
• Familiarity with Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar Swiss machines preferred
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience machining tight tolerance precision components
• Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently in a high-precision manufacturing environment
If you’re a Swiss machinist who takes pride in precision setups, tight tolerances, and process optimization, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
