Job Title: Project Manager – Education Construction

Location: Smyrna, GA
Industry: Higher-ed and K-12 projects

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a respected commercial contractor specializing in diverse construction projects including a heavy focus on education work. With most of their projects in the civic/municipal market, the company has built a strong reputation for reliability and craftsmanship.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing interior construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role will manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communication to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage K-12 and higher-ed construction projects from start to finish

• Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules

• Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams

• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders

• Manage subcontractor contracts, change orders, and project documentation

• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to client expectations

• Monitor jobsite progress and address any issues that arise during construction

• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction

• Experience managing ground up and renovation experience

• Background working on diverse projects including K-12 and higher-education facilities is required

• Strong understanding of construction budgets, scheduling, and subcontractor management

• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
