Controller – Construction

Location: Phoenix, AZ

We are actively seeking an experienced Controller to join a growing construction company in the Phoenix market. This is an ASAP need and a great opportunity for someone who wants stability now with significant room for growth long term.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for construction projects

• Prepare and manage WIP schedules

• Handle AR/AP, ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time

• Manage lien waivers and compliance documentation

• Review and approve expense reports

• Support month-end and year-end close

• Work closely with operations and leadership to maintain financial accuracy and project visibility

Required Experience:

• Prior experience as a Controller or Senior Construction Accountant

• Strong construction accounting background (WIP experience required)

• Hands-on experience with:

  • SAGE 300 (required)

  • Procore (required)

• Solid understanding of job cost accounting and vendor management

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities
