Survey Project Manager | Leadership Role | Western Chicago Suburbs

We are partnered with a well-established, award-winning engineering & surveying firm known for delivering high-precision infrastructure and land development projects across Illinois and the Midwest.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced Survey Project Manager ready to take full ownership of clients, teams, and project delivery.
This is not just a management role—it is a leadership seat in the Survey Group, with direct responsibility for project execution, profitability, and client relationships across multiple concurrent projects.
What You’ll Own
- Lead survey teams on boundary, ALTA, topographic, IDOT, and construction staking projects
- Manage multiple concurrent projects from kickoff through closeout
- Own project budgets, proposals, and scopes with a focus on accuracy and margin
- Oversee QA/QC for plats, boundary computations, and final deliverables
- Direct field and office staff with accountability and mentorship
- Manage and grow client relationships and support business development efforts
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal leadership
- Conduct and oversee deed research and public records analysis
What You Bring
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) – Illinois
- • 10+ years of land surveying experience
- Proven leadership of survey teams and complex project workloads
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Trimble Business Center
- Experience with Trimble robotic total stations and GPS equipment
- Strong understanding of Illinois surveying standards and IDOT workflows
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and competing priorities

Compensation & Benefits
- $95,000 – $135,000 base salary (DOE)
