Job Description

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking a Director of Operations to lead all plant operations and drive performance across production, supply chain, warehousing, logistics, maintenance, sanitation, and food safety.

This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the President and responsible for building a high-performing operations team while improving productivity, efficiency, and operational scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all operational functions including production, supply & demand planning, warehousing, shipping, maintenance, sanitation, and inventory management

• Manage and develop the operations leadership team including Maintenance Manager, Production Foreman, Floor Manager, and Food Safety Consultant

• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies

• Oversee SQF/HACCP food safety programs and maintain audit readiness

• Monitor key KPIs including production output, inventory accuracy, and on-time shipments

• Improve workflow, facility layout, and operational systems to support growth

• Build, train, and develop a high-performing operations workforce

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of operations leadership experience in manufacturing

• Experience overseeing production, warehousing, logistics, and inventory

• Strong leadership and team development background

• Proven track record improving efficiency, productivity, and operational processes

• Conversational Spanish required

Preferred

• Food manufacturing experience

• SQF, HACCP, or food safety program knowledge
