A well-established federal general contractor is hiring an Assistant Project Manager in the Augusta area to support a busy project team on complex government and industrial construction. You'll work side by side with seasoned project managers, handle real responsibility from day one, and build the skills to run your own projects.
What You'll Do
- Support the project manager with cost, schedule, quality and safety across the life of the project
- Manage submittals, RFIs and document control so the field always has what it needs
- Help update the project schedule and track progress against key milestones
- Assist with subcontract buyout, purchase orders, change orders and monthly cost reports
- Run and document coordination meetings with subcontractors, suppliers and the owner's team
- Work closely with the superintendent, quality control and safety staff to keep the job moving
- Support closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, O&M manuals and final turnover
What You Bring
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related field
- 2–3 years of construction management experience with a general contractor
- Experience on federal, government, industrial or other highly regulated projects is a plus
- Comfort with Primavera P6, Procore or similar scheduling and project management tools
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30; CQM-C certification is a plus
- A detail-oriented, organized approach and openness to relocating for the right opportunity
