Litigation Attorney – Complex Commercial Disputes

Miami, Florida | 5–10 Years' Experience | AM Law National Firm | Immediate Opening

A leading national AM Law firm is seeking a talented Litigation Attorney with 5 to 10 years of complex commercial litigation experience to join its Miami office. This is a excellent opportunity for an attorney to combine the stability, resources, and national reach of a large full-service firm with the flexibility, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit of a boutique culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in all phases of complex commercial litigation, including pre-litigation counseling, discovery, motion practice, and trial in both state and federal courts.
  • Litigate sophisticated matters including antitrust disputes, class action defense, and other complex commercial business issues at the highest level.
  • Develop strategic case plans, conduct in-depth legal research, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs with a high degree of independence.
  • Manage and advance cases independently, including all aspects of electronic discovery, document production, and deposition practice.
  • Handle and defend depositions, including expert witness preparation and examination.
  • Appear regularly in state and federal courts for hearings, status conferences, and oral argument — on-your-feet courtroom experience is expected and encouraged.
  • Collaborate across the firm's national platform to leverage cross-practice expertise and deliver comprehensive client service.

    Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with good academic credentials.
  • 5 to 10 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm, with demonstrated ability to advance cases independently.
  • Substantial experience litigating complex matters in both state and federal courts, including antitrust and class action matters.
  • Active Florida Bar admission is required; admission to the Southern District of Florida is strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with superior research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys across multiple practice areas.

About the Role:

This position offers direct involvement in every aspect of litigation — from discovery and depositions through brief writing and trial — with meaningful client interaction from day one. Our national, full-service platform allows you to leverage the expertise of the entire firm, while our culture of collaboration and innovation ensures that your contributions are recognized and your career is nurtured. We take pride in offering numerous growth opportunities for our attorneys and are committed to your long-term success.
