Heavy Equipment Operator – Civil / Sitework Construction
A growing civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support site development and infrastructure projects. This is a strong opportunity to join a company with a steady pipeline of work, long-term stability, and a team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate is a skilled operator with experience in excavation, grading, and utility work who can safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery while supporting overall project productivity.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and skid steers · Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and backfilling operations · Support installation of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm) · Read grade stakes, site plans, and follow project specifications · Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance · Work closely with foremen and crews to maintain project timelines · Ensure job site safety and follow OSHA guidelines · Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
· 3–8+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in civil or sitework construction · Strong experience with excavation, grading, and trenching · Ability to read grade stakes and understand site plans preferred · Experience working around underground utilities · Reliable and consistent work history · Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment · CDL is a plus (not required)
Compensation and Benefits
