Senior Litigation Attorney – Complex Commercial & Healthcare Matters
Location: Houston, Texas
A well-established Texas-based law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its Houston office. This is a high-impact role for an experienced litigator who wants to lead cases from inception through trial and work closely with firm leadership on complex commercial and healthcare-related matters.
The firm regularly handles high-stakes disputes and administrative proceedings, offering a strong platform for attorneys who want meaningful responsibility, sophisticated work, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities

Lead complex commercial litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution, including trial.

Handle motion practice, including dispositive motions and applications for temporary restraining orders and temporary injunctions.

Take and defend depositions of both fact and expert witnesses.

Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and, when needed, arbitrations.

Participate in administrative and regulatory proceedings involving healthcare entities and providers (e.g., CMS, OSHA, licensing boards).

Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted strategic advisor.

Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff on active matters.
Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.

Active license and good standing with the Texas State Bar.

10+ years of litigation experience, preferably with a regional, national, or highly regarded local firm.

Significant trial and evidentiary hearing experience, including leading depositions and mediations.

Proven track record in complex commercial litigation.

Experience in healthcare regulatory or administrative matters (CMS, Stark, Anti-Kickback, state medical or nursing boards, etc.) is strongly preferred but not strictly required.

Ability to manage cases with minimal supervision and provide practical, business-focused advice.
