Feed Technician / Delivery Driver
This position operates a bulk truck to deliver feed and related products to customers. The role also assists with feed mill and warehouse duties when not making deliveries. Responsibilities include providing professional customer service, mixing and packaging feed, and loading and unloading trucks.
Employees must maintain a positive attitude, work well in a team environment, and prioritize safety. This is not an all-inclusive list of duties, and additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs. Experience is preferred but not required.
Transport and unload feed and grain to customers safely and in a timely manner
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Follow safety rules, procedure manuals, and delivery documentation
Keep accurate records and maintain an up-to-date log of all feed deliveries
Comply with company policies, procedures, and all DOT rules and regulations
Ensure accuracy in all duties performed, including verifying delivery and unloading instructions
Extended work hours may be required depending on business needs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately
Motivated self-starter who works well in a team environment
Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
Class B CDL with air brake endorsement and valid health card, or willingness to obtain a Class A CDL
Ability to adapt and respond to unexpected situations such as traffic or weather conditions
Agricultural background preferred but not required
Must be at least 18 and eligible to work in the United States
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
Comfortable working in elevated areas and climbing ladders, grain bins, and grain legs
Able to work around moving equipment and in confined spaces
Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and dusty environments
