Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales Representative to grow our customer base and drive sales in the lumber and building materials market. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of lumber products and construction needs, excellent communication skills, and a proactive sales approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory or market segment
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, wholesalers, and other key clients
  • Provide product recommendations, quotes, and technical support tailored to customer needs
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies
  • Coordinate with internal teams for order fulfillment, delivery, and customer service
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities using CRM tools

Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the lumber, building materials, or construction industry
  • Strong product knowledge of lumber types, grades, and applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client visits
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
