Experienced Civil/Site Engineer | Detroit Metro, MI

We are seeking an Experienced Civil/Site Engineer to join a dynamic Site/Civil Engineering Team in the Detroit Metro region. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an Experienced Civil/Site Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience who wants to grow their career, work on diverse projects, and make a meaningful impact in the communities they serve.

About the Role

The Experienced Civil/Site Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing site development projects. This position offers exposure to a wide variety of civil engineering projects, from grading and utilities to stormwater management and landscaping. As an Experienced Civil/Site Engineer, you will also have project management responsibilities, including zoning and land development permitting, field inspections, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, site plan drafting, environmental assessments, and preparation of project reports.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Experienced Civil/Site Engineer who enjoys mentoring entry- and mid-level team members, collaborating across disciplines, and contributing innovative solutions to complex civil engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design of site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, landscaping, and lighting.

  • Implement soil erosion and sediment control measures.

  • Manage projects including zoning and land development permitting, field inspections, hydraulic/hydrologic design, and environmental impact assessments.

  • Mentor and train junior engineers and designers.

  • Prepare project documentation, site plans, and technical reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Michigan.

  • Minimum of 4 years of site and grading design experience and zoning/site plan permitting.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D and HydroCAD experience a plus.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and solution-oriented.

Compensation

  • $90,000 – $180,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and education, with eligibility for annual bonus opportunities.
