Location: Remote (California-based) Compensation: $175,000 – $220,000 (Commensurate with experience) + Year-End Discretionary Bonus
Billable Requirement: 1,800 Hours
Position Overview
A well-established, premier litigation firm founded over 20 years ago is seeking a talented mid-level Litigation Associate to join its sophisticated Financial Services Practice Group. This firm offers a unique "best of both worlds" environment: the opportunity to defend top-tier, institutional clients on complex matters, paired with a highly collaborative, collegial culture and the freedom of a primarily remote workforce.
The Day-to-Day
Manage and defend business litigation matters primarily on behalf of major banks and national financial institutions.
Handle individual consumer finance claims and complex commercial disputes in both California State and Federal courts.
Actively contribute to class action defense strategies spanning California and 13 other jurisdictions nationwide.
Take ownership of day-to-day case tasks in a leanly staffed environment, allowing for substantial direct client contact, strategic input, and courtroom exposure.
The Ideal Candidate
3+ years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience (direct experience with financial services litigation is highly preferred).
Must possess an active California law license in good standing.
Strong academic and professional credentials.
Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment while staying seamlessly integrated with trial teams.
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Practice alongside elite, national-firm-trained litigators without the rigid institutional hierarchy.
Join a forward-thinking firm where most attorneys work remotely, allowing for an excellent quality of life.
A reasonable 1,800 billable hour requirement positions you for a competitive year-end discretionary bonus, providing a true path to a sustainable career.
