Director of Construction - Federal Construction

Our client, a federal construction contractor, is seeking a Director of Construction to provide executive leadership over its construction operations from its Kansas City, KS office.

Position Overview:

• Provide executive-level oversight of all construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Lead and oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, owners, and government representatives.
• Drive accountability, operational efficiency, and overall project performance.

Ideal Candidate Background:

• Extensive construction leadership and operations experience, preferably within federal/government construction.
• Strong background managing multiple projects, teams, budgets, and schedules.
• Experience overseeing USACE, Air Force, or DoD projects is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with federal contracting requirements and USACE RMS is valuable.
• Proven ability to lead PMs, Superintendents, and field operations.

Compensation:

• Base salary: $180,000
• Performance bonus of up to 25% of base salary
• Potential total cash compensation of $225,000
