Job Description

Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Powersports Service Writer to join their growing team. This role is the heartbeat of the service department, responsible for providing a seamless and positive experience for customers needing maintenance or repairs on their motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in person or by phone, listen to their concerns, and accurately document service requests.

  • Create detailed repair orders, ensuring clarity and accuracy in customer concerns and technician instructions.

  • Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis and repairs.

  • Provide estimates and explain service work to customers, including costs and timeframes.

  • Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the service process, offering updates and addressing questions.

  • Coordinate warranty claims and ensure compliance with manufacturer policies.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service.

  • Assist in scheduling appointments, managing workflow, and organizing the service department.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a service writer or advisor in the powersports, automotive, or equipment industry.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of powersports vehicles and mechanical terminology.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in computer systems and service software (e.g., Lightspeed, CDK, etc.).

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
