Job Description

Diesel Mechanic

Our client, a well-established Florida-based company, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their growing team. This role will focus on inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing vehicles and equipment with a strong emphasis on rebuilding and repairing diesel engines—not just replacing them. If you have deep technical skills, diagnostic expertise, and take pride in ownership of your work, this is a great opportunity to join a company that values skill and precision.

Job Type: Full-Time, On-site

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on trucks and equipment.

  • Rebuild and repair engines, transmissions, driveline and rear-ends, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.

  • Utilize diagnostic software to identify and resolve engine issues.

  • Collaborate with drivers and operators to address operational concerns and provide maintenance updates.

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.

  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet maintenance schedules and repair deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of Diesel Mechanic/Technician experience.

  • Certification or degree in Diesel Mechanics/related field preferred.

  • Proven expertise with Cummins, Duramax, International, and related equipment.

  • Hands-on rebuilding experience—engines and transmissions, not just replacements.

  • Diagnostic software experience and ability to communicate findings effectively.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred, not required).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $30–$35/h

  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending & Health Savings Accounts, Life Insurance, 401(k)
