Quality Inspector – Electromechanical Manufacturing

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year
Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support inspection and quality assurance efforts in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring in-process and finished products meet customer, engineering, and industry specifications. The ideal candidate has experience inspecting electromechanical products, interpreting blueprints and engineering documentation, and working with industry standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect in-process and finished products to verify compliance with engineering and customer specifications
Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections to ensure workmanship standards are met
Review incoming work to determine inspection and production requirements
Document inspection results and identify non-conformances
Troubleshoot quality issues and assist with corrective actions when possible
Set up and operate test instruments and inspection equipment
Conduct and review pull testing and other inspection procedures
Utilize Bills of Materials (BOMs), parts lists, and work instructions during inspections
Maintain inspection records including non-conformance tracking and equipment issues
Assist with statistical charting and quality metrics reporting
Log product status into internal databases
Support Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
5+ years of quality inspection experience, preferably within an electromechanical manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications
Experience using inspection tools, measurement equipment, and test instruments
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills
