Operations Manager-Exterior Products-Florida Keys
Overview Looking for an experienced operations manager who has knowledge and experience with exterior products. Siding, doors, roofing, windows, etc. This role oversees day-to-day operational efficiency, ensures projects run on time and on budget, and leads the team to deliver high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations for residential and commercial exterior projects, including windows, roofing, doors, and siding.
- Review, edit, and approve completed inspection reports from field teams.
- Oversee proposal requests, contract renewals, and customer agreements.
- Approve job tickets, issue invoices, and ensure timely delivery of inspection reports to clients.
- Drive inside sales opportunities for residential repairs, ensuring follow-up and conversion.
- Hold service coordinators, estimators, and office staff accountable for assigned tasks to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Coordinate daily crew dispatch, ensuring prompt job setup and material/equipment procurement.
- Oversee job close-out, including final inspections, documentation, and customer communication.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date material pricing in company systems.
- Approve material invoices for payment and ensure all pricing is entered correctly into project management software.
- Organize, schedule, and conduct training programs for staff development.
- Provide weekly operational reporting to the Vice President, including performance metrics and scorecards.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies across all job sites.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of operations or project management experience in exterior construction, roofing, or related building products industry.
- Strong knowledge of windows, roofing, doors, siding, and other exterior building materials.
- Proven ability to manage teams, schedules, and budgets effectively.
- Proficiency with construction management software
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make quick, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred
- Experience with both residential and commercial exterior projects.
- Familiarity with material procurement and vendor negotiations.
- Knowledge of inspection and repair processes in roofing and exterior construction.
