Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Insurance Defense Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience handling insurance defense matters.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting file review and legal analysis of claims, defenses, and causes of action.
• Participating in trial preparation and attending trial proceedings, as necessary.
• Conducting legal research and providing strategic legal advice to clients.
• Retaining and working with expert witnesses.
• Negotiating settlements and handling alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Maintaining strong client relationships through responsiveness and adherence to client guidelines.
• Collaborating with senior attorneys and legal support staff.
• Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance with court and procedural requirements.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Admission to practice in the State of New York is required (Admission to practice in New Jersey, Connecticut, and/or Pennsylvania is a plus).
• 1-2 years of experience handling general litigation or insurance defense matters.
• Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills, with a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
