Our client, a respected general contractor with a solid track record in commercial construction, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join their growing team.  Position Summary:

The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in overseeing all field operations on commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in commercial building, excellent organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to job site management.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily on-site supervision of subcontractors, labor, and material coordination.
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job site.
• Help monitor schedules, quality control, and project milestones.
• Conduct site walkthroughs, inspections, and assist with daily reports and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Support project planning, logistics, and execution to ensure timely completion.

 Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role within commercial construction.
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
