🚀 Industrial Project Manager – Food & Beverage Construction

Are you a driven Project Manager ready to take on complex, high-visibility industrial projects? Do you excel in fast-paced food and beverage environments where precision, coordination, and technical expertise are key?

We’re seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager to lead transformative projects across structural steel, mechanical piping, process ventilation, equipment installations, industrial electrical, and shutdown/changeover operations. If you thrive on solving problems, leading teams, and delivering results, this role will put you at the center of major production upgrades and facility improvements.

🔧 What You’ll Do

You will be the force driving projects from kickoff to turnover. Responsibilities include:

🛠 Project Leadership

  • Own the project lifecycle from award through final client hand-off.
  • Build detailed work plans, shutdown strategies, and CPM schedules that keep projects on time and on budget.

🏗 Technical Execution

  • Oversee installation of structural steel, process equipment, piping, ventilation, dust collection, electrical systems, and controls.
  • Ensure every phase meets sanitary design and food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, USDA/FDA).

🤝 Team & Client Coordination

  • Lead subcontractors, craft labor, OEM teams, and plant personnel toward a common goal.
  • Drive communication, resolve issues quickly, and maintain strong relationships on active job sites.

📊 Project Controls & Safety

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, budgets, change orders, and daily reporting.
  • Champion safety: complete JHAs, manage permits, and ensure compliance across the project environment.

🔄 Startup & Commissioning

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and turnover to ensure clients receive fully operational systems.

🎯 What You Bring

  • 5–15 years of experience in industrial mechanical or food/beverage project management.
  • Expertise in structural steel, process equipment, piping, industrial ventilation, and electrical/controls.
  • Experience working in active food production facilities, including shutdowns, tie-ins, and accelerated project timelines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cost-management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to plant locations.

🎓 Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred in:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related construction or technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with major food manufacturers or industrial mechanical contractors.
  • Knowledge of sanitary design principles (CIP, GMP, HACCP).
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent industrial safety training.
