Commercial Construction Estimator

We’re working with a growing construction company looking to add a Commercial Estimator to their team. This role is ideal for someone who’s experienced in commercial construction and enjoys working closely with preconstruction and project teams to deliver accurate, competitive estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to ensure accurate coverage.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit subcontractor/supplier pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support bids, proposals, and budget development.
• Maintain historical cost data and market pricing trends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, or similar).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in office in a collaborative setting.
• Experience with mixed-use, retail, or office projects is a plus.
