A Texas civil trial and appellate defense firm is hiring an insurance coverage attorney for its Dallas, TX office. The firm has represented clients in nearly all of Texas's 254 counties and focuses on advocating for its clients in court. You'll work directly with the partner who leads the coverage and appellate groups, advising and defending insurance carriers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare coverage opinions for insurance carriers
- Handle declaratory judgment actions on coverage disputes
- Defend carriers in bad-faith and extra-contractual litigation
- Work directly with the leader of the coverage group
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- 3+ years of insurance coverage experience or extensive legal research and writing preferred
- Working knowledge of insurance law
- Excellent research, writing and analytical skills
