Traveling Project Manager – National Mechanical Construction

We’re seeking a Traveling Project Manager to take the lead on large-scale mechanical construction projects nationwide. These projects include high-tech facilities such as data centers, healthcare, industrial, and manufacturing builds — where the mechanical scope can range into the hundreds of millions.

Role Overview

  • Manage projects on-site from planning through completion

  • Oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractors

  • Coordinate with engineers, BIM/VDC teams, field leadership, and clients

  • Drive safety, quality, and performance across every stage

  • Anticipate and resolve challenges to keep work moving forward

Schedule & Compensation

  • 6 days per week, 10-hour shifts

  • Overtime paid at an hourly rate beyond the base schedule

  • Daily per diem while traveling

  • Travel rotation: typically home every 3–4 weeks

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of experience managing mechanical/HVAC/piping projects

  • Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related experience

  • Strong scheduling and computer skills (P6/MS Project preferred)

  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
