Remote Design Engineer – PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings)
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) to join our growing team. This is a flexible opportunity that allows candidates to work fully remote or relocate to one of our office locations if preferred.
The ideal candidate will have 5–10+ years of PEMB design experience, a strong understanding of structural steel systems, and an active PE license.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer PEMB structures for commercial, industrial, and manufacturing projects
- Review project specifications, drawings, and structural requirements
- Coordinate with project managers, detailers, estimators, and customers
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, safety standards, and project requirements
- Assist with engineering calculations, connection design, and project optimization
- Support fabrication and field teams as needed throughout project execution
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of PEMB design engineering experience required
- Active PE license required
- Strong knowledge of structural steel and metal building systems
- Experience with PEMB engineering/design software preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary up to $150,000 depending on experience
