Service Manager
We are seeking a results-driven Service Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our truck service shop. This leadership role is responsible for supervising mechanics and technicians, managing workflow to ensure efficient turnaround of rental fleet assets, and servicing customer-owned trucks. The Service Manager will maintain inventory accuracy, uphold repair quality standards, and foster a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
Key responsibilities include coordinating daily work schedules, conducting inspections, assisting with diagnostics, managing service documentation, and building strong customer relationships. The role also involves handling parts procurement, tracking preventive maintenance schedules, preparing service quotes, and reporting on operational performance. Occasional travel is required for field service calls and training.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a service shop management role
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an industrial, heavy equipment, or heavy truck mechanic
Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service management software (e.g., Magentrix)
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Working Conditions:
Shop and office environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping required
