Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical design, with at least 5 years specifically designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and residential projects.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, Bentley OpenPlant, or equivalent BIM and analysis tools. Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.

Code Knowledge: Understanding of ASHRAE standards, ICC building code, local jurisdiction codes, and energy efficiency standards (LEED, WELL, ENERGY STAR).

Project Management: Experience managing design phases, coordinating multidiscipline teams, and meeting project deadlines and budgets.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical information to non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sustainable design and net‑zero energy projects.
  • Knowledge of chilled water, steam, and VRF systems, as well as plumbing fixture selection for water efficiency.
  • Prior work on mission-critical, commercial, and/or residential projects
  • Familiarity with commissioning and post‑occupancy performance verification.

  • Competitive salary range commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and professional development stipend.
