Job Description

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for all product quality, food safety and formulation requirements. This job also requires that the leads customers in following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety Programs – including the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) System and the HACCP program as it relates to his/her daily tasks. Regulatory compliance reporting and ability to work well with other departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and sustain all aspects with pertinent customers and employees.

• Develop and sustain relationships with existing customers.

• Promote new products and existing products to customers.

• Train new/current pertinent customers with current GMP and Food Safety guidelines.

• Provide timely information regarding customer requests: pricing, data sheets, production information, delivery information.

• Provide technical information regarding products.

• Coordinate new product development through formula verification.

• Verify that raw materials and flavors used in formula are valid.

• Validate all formula costs and calculations.

• Provide mix instructions for production blending.

• Provide technical support to customers.

• Respond to emergency production requests.

• Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution

.• Responds promptly and accurately to job-related questions and complaints from departmental leads and keeps higher level management informed of any potential problems

Report to the President and Executive Group.
