Job Description

Asphalt QC Technician

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Technician to support our asphalt production and manufacturing operations. The QC Technician will be responsible for testing and inspecting asphalt materials to ensure they meet required specifications and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily sampling and testing of asphalt mixes and raw materials

  • Monitor and record production data to ensure consistent quality

  • Calibrate and maintain lab and field testing equipment

  • Ensure compliance with DOT, project specifications, and internal quality standards

  • Communicate findings and quality issues with plant operators and supervisors

  • Assist with adjustments to mix designs as needed

  • Maintain accurate test logs and quality records

  • Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in a related field a plus)

  • Prior experience in asphalt production or construction materials testing preferred

  • Familiarity with DOT specifications and asphalt testing procedures (e.g., AASHTO, ASTM)

  • Ability to work in both lab and field environments

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
